A Good Start!

As many of you know I am a farm girl, and if you don’t I hope you can tell by my boot collection. I have a few more pairs but these are my favorites by far! I would say this is a good start to my collection. I am not stopping there, I love love love love Boots. People ask me all the time why I need so many, well first of all why not. Second of all, I am going to be spending most of my teaching career and life in boots. People who work in an office have several pairs of high heels, well I am going to have several pairs of boots. Mostly thought, besides the fact they are CUTE, most of them are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned! Though some of them need insoles most of them I can wear all day and not have any problems. That means a lot when I stand on my feet all day at work.

I do have some diversity in my boots, the square toe is probably my favorite toe but some of my pointed toes are my all time favorite boots.

These are one of my favorite pairs, square toe Lucchese Gators. My husband bought these for me for my birthday, he’s so thoughtful. I have been eyeing these boots for along time and my husband ordered them for me through work. I was expecting them to take 5 months before they got here but it was less than a week. I don’t care because I love them!!!

My second favorite pair of Lucchese. These boots were perfect from my wedding. It was an amazing day and they fit perfect with the theme and now I love to show them off!!

As for my other pairs I would not trade them for anything, I love my boots! One of the hardest decisions I have each day is which pair of boots I’m going to wear today. Now if I could just find a pair of pointed toe black boots, I will have all my bases covered.

Ready for the Wedding!!

I can’t tell you how ready I am for this wedding to be here! One I get to marry an incredible man and two all the wedding stress will end. Nothing can be easy, well none of my stuff. Derek has most of all the guys stuff and his own figured out. Me on the other hand NO!

First I ordered boots and when they came in I opened the box and they were brown/red! Not what I ordered!! They were the same boot but not the right color, the place told me that it was the company’s fault because it was the difference in the dye and the leather they used. I understand there would be some difference but not that extreme. After crying my eyes out in the store and everyone telling me they couldn’t do anything but exchange my boots a gentlemen finally helped me. I had expressed my issue about exchanging them, I looked everywhere trying to find these boots and found them and I really wanted them, a few associates looked to see if they had the boot in the size I needed but they didn’t have it. The gentlemen finally offered a solution! He asked if I wanted to try on the 7 1/2 and then stretch them. I tried it on and was just a little tight around the heel so he stretched the heel and I put it on and it fit perfectly!!! Success, unfortunately they didn’t offer me any type of discount or anything special for the stress and difficultly but at least I have my boots!!

The second stressful issue that  I faced in the 3 days that I was home was issues with my bridesmaids dresses. I called to see about the prices and order one. They told me that only 2 or the 3 were written down on my wish list. Finally we located the 3rd but it was written in the side because we wanted the dress in iris and that dresses didn’t come in iris. Which you would have thought that someone would have told me about that before but they didn’t…. stress #1. So we had to go with the second strapless dress that was in the collection, we just didn’t pick it because we liked the other one better. The second one did come in iris so it was looking like our only option. I asked the lady if there was any way we could return it since it wasn’t our fault we didn’t know and we weren’t going to be able to get back up there to try it on her. She told me that it wasn’t possible since all sales were final. The other problem was if that dress didn’t work I would have to return all the dresses because they were all different and in the same collection, the sales woman didn’t understand that. She acted like I could have 2 in the collection and find a completely different dress for the other, duh! After than I told her that I wanted to order one of the dresses, after telling her which one and correcting the color she told me I couldn’t get that dress anymore. The dress was cut to order and it was discontinued now. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have told me that they were getting ready to be discontinued that would have been nice! But they didn’t so now that I couldn’t get one and had to settle on another it sounds like it’s time to find new dresses. It’s stressful that I thought I already had this part finished and now that I have to start over its difficult, but it will work out.

I know that everything will work out and our day will be amazing and special but I’m just ready for the stress to be over already lol. September is getting closer and closer, just can’t wait for it to be here!
