Wedding Sneak Peek

I decided that throughout my wedding planning process I would give my amazing readers, family and friends a sneak peek of my wedding decorations, ideas, and planning.

This weekend I was completely off, this normally doesn’t happen unless it was an accident but I decided that I would enjoy the time off and work on some wedding things. Unfortunately when my pay check comes and it’s lower than normal I will probably regret that decision, but that’s why I know have a working man!!! Right?! haha Well I started off by going to Hobby Lobby and I spend way too much money but a lot of it was trying to test a different wedding feature plus you always have to get a variety of things just in case one idea doesn’t work. So I started on working some wedding stuff!!! Derek told me I should get started now since it is still 6 months away but I am so excited and I don’t want to wait for last-minute, I want to be as prepared as I can be. Even though I have a feeling that wont be the case the week before my wedding I will be the girl running around like a chicken with its head chopped off…. But I’m trying to get things done little by little!

Well I will get to the feature of the week (I know you are as excited to know as I am to tell)……

As Derek and I were planning certain details of our wedding we try to make everything tie together with our theme, Outdoor/ Farm wedding. As we went through the decoration planning one of the things that come up is always; After the ceremony what are people going to do? Bubbles? Rice? Glow Sticks? Sparklers? What?  Well I didn’t want bubbles, that’s what most people do these days. Rice kills birds and is frowned upon…. Glow sticks, it wont be dark enough….. Sparklers, the are expensive plus it wont be dark enough to have the full effect….. So what?

We talked about several different options. Corn (very farmy) but that might hurt. Wheat or oats, good ideas but they are kind of light and if there was any wind at all it would be hard to throw on/at us. So what did we decide……. BIRD SEED. See bird friendly! (unlike rice) Bird seed is a cute, different idea and the birds will love it. Everyone should be involved in celebrating our big day even the birds!

So this weekend I worked on our bird seed bags they are so cute and country check it out!!!!

Well I don’t have them all done, right now I have a total of 73 done. I would have had 85 but that cute little kitten of mine decided to destroy 12 of them before I got them closed. That evil cat doesn’t he know we are working on a budget and I worked hard on them! It took me a day to get them sewn and filled and then tied.

Besides the wedding stuff today was an important day. The 28th of every month marks mine and Derek’s Month-a-versary. Kind of silly yes but when everyone started their relationship they celebrate their month anniversaries. Though we don’t celebrate by going out every month we do say happy month-a-versary. I guess it’s just something we do silly but cute. This month thought is special because today was not just our Month-a-versary, but it was also Derek’s mother’s Birthday. I’m not going to tell you how old she turned but, Happy birthday Patti! Today was also my parents Anniversary! Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad. It was a crazy busy day that’s for sure.

Well I hope everyone had a good week like I did!!!
